Rates & Insurance

Our team provides highly specific, evidence-based therapy for anxiety and OCD. We see a limited number of clients who are excellent fits for the kinds of services we provide.

We do not accept insurance directly.  However, you may still be eligible for reimbursement.

See the below information to determine whether treatment at Anxiety Specialists of St. Louis  may be covered by your insurance benefits.

What does “out-of-network” mean?

Our clinic focuses on providing top-quality, research-backed care without the constraints of insurance companies. Because of this, we ask for payment at the time of your appointment. Every month, we’ll send a detailed receipt called a superbill to your client portal . You can use this to submit to your insurance for money back. The superbill is sent on the first day of the month for services provided in the previous month.

$How do I know if I have out-of-network benefits?

If you see the terms PPO, POS or out-of-network on your insurance card, you will likely be able to receive a percentage of the cost of services back in your pocket.  If you see HMO, Medicare or Medicaid on your card, then you probably do not have these benefits. You’ll need to call the “Behavioral Health” number listed on the back of your card to get specific details about your out of network deductible and con-insurance.

What is the cost of services?

We do our best to make care accessible while also balancing our limited availability and our own personal investments in advanced education and training that truly make us specialists.  Typical fees are as follows:

  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist, $170 – $225 per session
  • Postdoctoral Clinical Psychologist, $150
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker, $150 per session
  • Licensed Master Social Worker, $110

*Range of fees is dependent on therapist training and education, level of experience and/or speciality

Please reach out if you have more questions.

Can I be seen less frequently to decrease the cost?

We ask for a weekly commitment at least through the first 4 weeks while we are still getting to know you and working through your treatment plan. After 4 sessions you can discuss your rate of progress with your therapsit and agree upon frequency of care. Your therapist will share their recommendation and how it relates to your goals or the type of treatment being recommended.
